About Us

The Scalable Autonomous Systems (SAS) Lab is an interdisciplinary lab focusing on fundamental research in robotics with a focus on control and coordination of many robot systems. The lab is part of Drexel University's Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics Department. The lab is under the direction of Prof. M. Ani Hsieh and laboratory members consist of students from all undergraduate and graduate levels with students coming from the Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Computer Science departments.


  The lab is housed in the basement of the Hess Engineering Reearch building which is located on Drexel University's University City campus. A campus map can be found here. Visitors must be announced by calling the laboratory number.
